Stay one day, stay one night, stay a week, or even longer!

Guests will enjoy 24 hour-a-day care in a home environment that allows them to either mingle with the other guests, or to seek out a private sitting area to enjoy some time alone.

Whether it's chasing a ball with a buddy, going for a brisk or leisurely walk in the countryside, kicking back in the home theater area to catch a feature film, or even baying at the likes of Beethoven and Brahms, your pet will find something to enjoy while a guest of The Dogwoods.

As your pet will tell you, sudden changes to their diets can cause a variety of intestinal upsets. It is our policy therefore to ask all our guests to bring their own food and provide us with detailed diet instructions to help minimize any upsets.

"Wow!" That's what all of our guests say when they see the fenced in area and play equipment created just for them. Five acres of The Dogwoods six acre property is enclosed by fence. Guests will enjoy vigorous runs, games of fetch, or just catch a few rays before dinner. New paths outside of the fenced area continue to be created so that your pet can have a private walk with you or a staff member of The Dogwoods.

Professional grooming services are available for guests of The Dogwoods and must be requested at the time reservations are made. A complimentary bath will be provided for guests with a minimum stay of 5 days.

Ala Carte services are offered; special arrangements must be made at time of booking.

Grooming prices are figured on an hourly rate of $35. Every client is unique, and some of the factors which will determine how long the grooming takes are the client's size, coat length, and coat condition.

Guests must provide the name and number of their veterinary clinic. We will try our best to use your veterinarian should your pet need medical attention. When our guest's veterinarian is not readily available, we will use The Dogwood's doctor of veterinary medicine, Dr. Dave Stehr of And Dogs Too. We will also use the Emergency Clinic for Animals. Guest's owners are responsible for all medical expenses.
